Overview

For patients suffering from missing teeth or challenging tooth problems, the Dental Implant specialists at Washington Center for Dentistry have the answer for those seeking long-term results and a beautiful, natural new smile. All-on-4 dental implants offer our patients non-removable replacement teeth by placing a complete arch of prosthetic teeth on just 4 dental implants. They are surgically set in at angles and use the best available bone for support. Since the All-on-4 technique is designed to place only 4 implants, which do not typically require bone grafts, they are an ideal choice for patients with low bone density. The implants are comfortable and secure, and patients enjoy a fast recovery.

What Are the Benefits?

Dental implants by All-on-4 can be utilized to substitute the upper and/or lower arches together with dental implants connected to dentures made custom for you. You could be an good candidate for All-on-4 implants in the event that you prefer the advantages of implanted dentures over traditional, removable dentures, which include no or few dietary restrictions, no sticky adhesives, and no denture soaking. You will have to have good bone and gum density in order to get implants, as the screws rely upon your gums and bone to hold them in position. If needed, gum and/or bone grafts may be performed before implant surgery. Our team can determine if this treatment is best for you during your initial consultation and will help discuss all your choices.

Technology of Implants

What’s the secret to the wondrous All-on-4 dental implants? We owe it all to technology! A CT computerized X-ray of the jaw, along with 3-D dental implant software, helps plan the positions of the implant in the jaw. This technology also allows us to fabricate your new teeth before the actual surgery. This computer-assisted surgery is accurate, safe and less painful.

I was in DC for a summer internship and had to make an emergency dental appointment for HORRIBLE tooth pain that basically sprang up overnight. The doctors here were able to see me same-day (and the front desk had such compassion for me!). The doctors were able to quickly diagnose my problem and refer me to a specialist for a root canal— the specialist was incredible! I also want to note that my dentist at home consistently dismissed my complaints of sensitivity and pain. The dentists at this office were able to determine within minutes that I needed a root canal! I would give more than 5 stars if I could, and will absolutely be searching for a new dentist, who is as good as the dentists at Washington Center for Dentistry, when I return home.

I’ve been to Dr Matin for two extraction and prep for a future implant. He is careful, concerned (answers all questions clearly and completely) and his work is impeccable. Best of all zero pain or discomfort after the operation- something not that common I think. Highly recommend

No one really wants to need gum grafts, but if you do need them, you want an excellent doctor to conduct the surgery. Dr. Matin is wonderful, warm, and top notch. He has done two grafts on me (five years ago; they’ve healed beautifully), and I’m scheduled for a third. Additionally, everyone in his office is so incredibly nice and helpful!

What to Expect With All-on-4 Dental Implants

To start your All-on-4 treatment, our trusted professionals at Washington Center for Dentistry will take custom impressions and X-rays of your mouth. We then create a personalized treatment plan and talk about your options for sedation throughout the process. During your first appointment, the dental implants will be placed in your dental arch. A temporary restoration should protect the implants while your mouth heals and your dentures are crafted. After several months, you will come back to have your custom-made dentures attached and possibly adjusted for a more comfortable fit.

About Us
Is the procedure to get All-On-4 implants painful?
No, most patients don't find the All-On-4 implant procedure painful. At Washington Center for Dentistry, our expert team of doctors pairs powerful local anesthetic to totally numb the treatment area with multiple sedation options to ensure you are comfortable throughout the entire procedure. For a few days following your procedure, there may be some minor swelling and soreness, but this is usually easily controlled with over-the-counter pain relievers (always consult your physician).
